About Up to Speed

Know where things stand.

Up to Speed is a private place to keep track of a long, complicated course of treatment. It is built for the kind where results arrive from three different systems, a phone gets used as a filing cabinet, and nobody can remember what the number was two weeks ago.

It pulls your records in from your hospital's MyChart, keeps them in one timeline, and gives you somewhere to write down what was said, what you're worried about, and what to ask next time. It was built by one family going through it, for their own use, and then opened up.

What it can do

  • Connect to your hospital's MyChart and keep labs, medications, appointments, conditions and reports up to date automatically.
  • Chart any lab over time, and mark the values that matter to your family.
  • Hold notes, questions, symptoms, documents and tasks in one place.
  • Share the record with the other parent, a grandparent, or the patient themselves, with a different level of access for each.
  • Optionally use AI to summarise what changed and draft updates for family. What that sends, and where.
  • Turn off whole sections you don't need, from Settings.

What it is not

Not a medical device, not clinical advice, and not a replacement for your care team. Not a HIPAA-covered service. Not a backup of your medical record, because your hospital's portal is still the authoritative copy. See the terms and the privacy notice.

Getting help

For anything about this app, whether that's a bug, a question about your data, or a request to delete your account: [email protected]

For anything about your family's medical care, contact your care team. Up to Speed's support cannot answer clinical questions.

Who runs this copy

Up to Speed is self-hosted, so this instance is run by an individual or family, not by a company. Whoever operates the server has full access to what is stored on it. If you did not set it up yourself, use it only if you trust the person who did.
